Nwell Brands, which recently acquired Jarden Corp. in Boca Raton, announced Friday that it will establish its new global headquarters in Hoboken, N.J.

Newell Rubbermaid and Jarden completed their $15.4 billion merger on April 15, forming a consumer goods powerhouse.

Jarden said it would keep its “hub” in Boca Raton, where it currently has about 500 employees, according to the Boca Chamber of Commerce.

Newell said the cost of its new New Jersey office will be offset with $27 million in tax incentives from New Jersey.

The company said it also would keep business hubs in Atlanta and Norwalk, Conn., and its design center in Kalamazoo, Mich.

Newell Brands, combined with Jarden, has a portfolio of consumer brands including Paper Mate, Sharpie, Elmer’s, Coleman, Lenox, Oster, Sunbeam, FoodSaver, Mr. Coffee, Rubbermaid, Graco, and Yankee Candle.

The company’s stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
