Three Big Developments Proposed In Boca Raton
December 23rd, 2014Developers have proposed three big projects in Boca Raton so far in December, two of them residential and one of them an office expansion for a major public company.
On Dec. 3, an application was filed to increase the apartment units and decrease the office space allowed in the Peninsula Corporate Center (pictured above). The change would allow a 244-unit apartment complex of five stories, plus a four-story parking garage, to be constructed at 8210 Congress Ave. The 4.5-acre site is owned by Mark Steinbock.
A similar change – from office to residential – has been submitted for preliminary comments at 950 Northwest Broken Sound Parkway within the Arvida Park of Commerce. Gard Development wants to build 89, three-story townhomes on the five-acre site.
Meanwhile, SBA Communications Corp. filed for preliminary comments on its plan to expand its headquarters office at 8051 Congress Ave. from 167,304 square feet to 229,446 square feet. It bought the building for $22.65 million in 2013.
