It’s that time of year again, a time when foodie events flood our calendars with special wine pairing dinners, food festivals, and tasting extravaganzas.

Back for its third year, the annual Boca Raton Tastemakers is returning to Mizner Park, and it’s looking to be even bigger and more inclusive than in years past. This time around, the event — which is officially titled “Rock, Roll & Stroll” — will include live music and a special craft-beer tasting, in addition to food, wine, and cocktail samples.

According to Barbara Finn, marketing director for Mizner Park, the event has been so successful that it was due for a few upgrades.

“We are very excited about this year’s new rock ‘n’ roll theme, with two live bands playing throughout the evening,” said Finn. “This event has been so successful in years past, we’ve extended it into the Mizner Park Amphitheater to include a separate craft-beer tasting and additional entertainment.”

Touted as a “progressive food and cocktail tasting event,” Tastemakers allows ticket-holders the opportunity to sample food, wine, and cocktails from many of Mizner Park’s best restaurants. This year, highlights include Kapow! Noodle Bar, Villagio, Dubliner, Uncle Julio’s, Max’s Grille, and Racks.

If the cocktail and beer portion of Tastemakers is more your style, this year the Mizner Park Amphitheater will host a special craft-beer tasting presented by the Florida Beer Co., Gold Coast Distributors, Harpoon Brewery, and New Belgium Brewery.

The event will also feature live music from the Shindig band in the courtyard gazebo and the rock band Amp’d at the amphitheater.

The “Rock, Roll & Stroll” Tastemakers will take place Wednesday, September 17, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at Mizner Park in Boca Raton. The cost is $30 per person; a single VIP ticket book allows the ticket holder one food tasting and a select beverage at each participating restaurant, where tickets are also available.

In addition, the ticket booklets will include reusable exclusive offerings from various Mizner Park eateries valid August through October 31.Tickets are available for purchase online at miznerpark.com.
