Rosemurgy Properties plans project on newly acquired Broward site

February 25th, 2016

Rosemurgy Properties acquired a property in Deerfield Beach for $6 million and plans to build a self-storage facility there.

A family trust sold the 3.2-acre site at 545 S. Federal Highway to Sentry Deerfield Beach, a subsidiary of Rosemurgy Properties, which is based in Deerfield Beach and Boca Raton. The property last traded for $4.7 million in 2013.

The buyer plans to build a 93,163-square-foot self-storage complex by fall 2016. It would be managed by Sentry Self-Storage. That would replace an industrial building currently on the site.

“We are excited to partner with Sentry Self-Storage to bring a best-in-class development to Deerfield Beach, “ said Alex Rosemurgy, CEO, Rosemurgy Properties, “Our team of consultants including Dunay, Miskel, Backman; Nason, Yeager, Gerson, White & Lioce, P.A.; Thomas Engineering; and Herbert Gallo Architects have all helped to make this acquisition a success.”

This adds to a boom of self-storage construction in South Florida.
