An Atlanta company paid $51 million for the Publix shopping center at 831 Village Blvd., according to a deed made public Monday.

Jamestown bought the 169,000-square-foot center from its San Francisco-based owner, according to property records. The property last sold in 2010 for $25.7 million.

The new owner plans to spend $4.5 million to renovate the center, with construction slated to begin in January.
