After the success of the Clive Daniel Home furniture store in Naples, Fla., Clive and Daniel Lubner worked together to bring their spin on luxury home furnishings to South Florida.

They say they chose Boca Raton for their 70,000 square-foot showroom because they found their ideal location in the southeast Palm Beach County municipality. And, on Tuesday, the father-son business duo opened their second Florida store at 1351 N.W. Boca Raton Blvd.

“We have been looking at Boca for our second location and when this place came about it was just fantastic,” said Clive Lubner, the company’s founder. “Especially with the amount of traffic that is coming in and the size of the building that we could manufacture.”

The store will employ about 65 people, including 25 professional interior designers, plus an extension of the company’s Hospitality Division. The upscale retailer has invested about $12 million in the project, the Lubners said, with $8 million slated for construction on the two-level showroom building.

The Lubners said they hope to stand out among competitors by offering services, such as certified design professionals that will do all the work with no hassle for the customer.

“We have a beautiful store full of furniture for the customers to enjoy and to feel at home,” said David Petrusch, designer. “But we do offer a full design service to our clients so naturally we want them to feel comfortable with our business and our staff.”

In addition to their services, Clive Daniel Home is the one-stop shop for homeowners.

“It is total home,” said Clive Lubner. “Closets, kitchens, boutique gift store, lighting shop, interior designers, drapery department, area rug department.”
