Jay Whelchel is Principal and Founder of Whelchel Partners Real Estate Services. As a licensed real estate salesperson and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Jay has sold and leased over 2,000,000 million square feet worth $350 million dollars of commercial real estate mostly located in South Florida. To date, his largest transaction was in 2008 when he successfully completed a portfolio sale of commercial properties in the amount of $97 Million. Jay is also an equity partner in two commercial office buildings totaling 130,000 SF.

Jay Whelchel has been a long time resident of the City of Boca Raton since 1978 and graduated with an Engineering degree from Florida State University. He is a member of Grace Community Church and currently lives in East Boca Raton with wife Melissa, and children Jack and Vivian.

Jay is a community leader serving on the South County Advisory Board for Palm Beach County’s
Community Foundation. He has participated on various other boards and committees to support groups such as the Executive Board of the Boca Raton Historical Society, the Advisory Board of Stonegate Bank, the George Snow Scholarship Foundation, Spirit of Giving Foundation, and the American
Heart Association.
